CCD4Libya is a capacity-building program designed to support five innovative Libyan entrepreneurs in driving digital transformation within public services.
Launched by Future Islands in partnership with the Hamzat Wasl Center and supported by the Hanns Seidel Foundation, the initiative aims to foster innovation and strengthen digitalization in Libya. Through incubation, training workshops, and hands-on development, the program empowers participants to create citizen-centric digital solutions.
Public services in Libya face significant challenges related to efficiency, accessibility, and modernization. The lack of digital solutions hinders the ability of institutions to provide responsive and inclusive services. Additionally, Libyan entrepreneurs struggle with limited access to resources, training, and mentorship, preventing them from developing and scaling innovative digital solutions. Addressing these gaps requires structured support to enhance digital capacity and promote user-centered technological advancements.
CCD4Libya provides a structured program that includes three key components:
- Training & Development: Participants engage in hands-on workshops to refine their digital skills and innovation capabilities.
- Incubation Program: Selected entrepreneurs receive tailored support to develop, implement, and test their digital solutions in real-world settings.
- Digital Fair Event: A showcase event allows participants to present their innovations to the public, institutions, and potential partners, fostering collaboration and scalability.
The program also offers expert mentorship, business development training, and human-centered design methodologies to ensure that solutions are impactful and sustainable.
CCD4Libya has strengthened the digital capabilities of five Libyan entrepreneurs, equipping them with essential tools to develop citizen-focused digital services. Participants gained expertise in human-centered design, business strategy, and market validation. The program facilitated networking opportunities with key stakeholders and created a platform for collaboration between entrepreneurs, public institutions, and private sector actors. By promoting digital transformation in Libya, CCD4Libya contributes to a more efficient and innovative public sector.
